*Lemme move my 8-bit char over here...*

Dood nice. This sounds like you jacked it straight out of a Final Fantasy overworld theme-but you didn't lol. It is extremely laid back-if extremely can so be laid back?!

I dont think the claps and the hats really mess anything up too much at all. The verb is very powerful in creating all the more dreaminess to it with those claps. I also like putting wind into my music cuz it can be easily identified, and adds realism to the song. Also helps paint the picture and create a tangible setting.

Real good.

Errr, we'll get you there...I can tell you have the right ideas tho

Well for some reason this sounds like something I have heard before.
I really need to hook you up with some drum samples and give you little Synth-101, and school you on some fx and layering to make these synths sound more rich.
Another thing...You might get dogged by some ppl saying you shouldn't post it is your first song ever because it generally gets hated on. Too late now right lol!

Hit me up some late night and we'll throw some good shit together, and I'll get you a sample pack.

Keep it wildstyle!

Great production!

My friend, you are trully talented. I expect you to go places with these skills. The production and sequencing on this track is amazing. I love how you tie in all the glitch lo-fi stuff and out of seemingly random ambience comes an intense, emotional beat. Great sound fx, I am assuming you recorded and created many of them? Good panning and clarity through out the mix.

5/5

Kingbastard responds:

I did indeed, it was a labour of love:)
Thanks again.

Too short!

This is a pretty good track. The kick sounds really nice. I like the intro pads, and the emotional lead. It makes the song ;)

Imma d/l this for my megamix. Keep up the work! I hope for some longer stuff, with breakdowns and build ups to make driving in my care or sleeping with headphones on all the more pleasing--one could get lost in a song like this!

Great energy! Fifen!

darkness...

HAHA, I have been playing alot of FEAR with my bro lately, and this would be very fitting. Some spots seemed a little cluttered. And there was almost a need for mixing as it sounded a little distorted too, but then again that was sorta the aim, huh?

The song doesnt blend as a loop very well, and I know, based off all your other great works, that this small section will be a great intro for a long large kick ass song-your good at making 'em long and GOOD. :)

FIFEN-cuz that's what bro's are for!

Keep it wildstyle!

I will await a longer version....

SolusLunes responds:

Cluttered? That was about four instruments :D

Yeah, the distortion was deliberate, if it's too perfect it kind of detracts from the feel of misty-spacy-ness-ess-ess of it. You know what I mean. :p

Anyways, I actually wasn't thinking of making this song longer, but now that you mention it, I might ;)

Groovin'

The track was okay.
I liked the bassline during the piano parts, kinda jazzy and movement provoking. You included an odd mixture of elements in this song. But with an increase in elements becomes and increased need for proper mixing. In some parts the bassline was too loud. In most cases the song seemed generally low in volume as though you are not using the very limited bit depth that we have been givin to work with on computers. It was also very mon sounding.

But this was on the top five so you got a review, and a *high five* from me. One of my favorite parts is the pinao section, and also the accomponied trance feel right after ( i think the second one with the warbled VG sounding grunge sytnh).

Keep it wildstyle!

chutzpah responds:

Definitely true. I have started learning how to better mix my songs now and hopefully that won't be a factor in the future.

Mono sounding... well yeah maybe out of laziness and lack of FL skillz at the time, yeah.

The instruments... This is the first song I ever made my own instruments on, in fact I think they might all be just a little customized. Thanks for the review, its way better than I would have given it.

BAM!

Shit jsut kinda popped into my ears before I knew it lol!

Nice grungy tone the one synth. This is a great sounding track and a considerable option for the compilation discs I make. Unfortunately tho, it is so short I might jsut have it as a filler effect in between larger songs!

NICE PUNCHY BASS.

Keep it wildstyle!

Syntrus responds:

hey thx dude

Very cool bro

This track does have some interesting house elements in it. Both old school and new (new- being more of the electro parts). I was happy with your fitting choice of drum sounds. When the song fully took off with the bassline it reminded me of the Best of CDs that you sometimes see on TV and some crazy aunt thought I would like for a gift (so I connected with it there). I can't see this as the kinda house you would see in a retro-like house playing club.

Then again I am no expert on the genre. This is good.

GangsterRapper responds:

Yeah, it's a mixture of both. I was trying to give it a minimal feeling. Not bothering with drum rolls and such things.

Thanks for the review.
