WTF!

Why did it take me so many years to find your music...there are probably a shit load of ppl on this site that got multiplatinum d/ls that I have never heard of.

Great synth work in this, lots of layers. Can I really critique you after a few dozen reviews from otehrs!?!?? Anyway, good use of piano and engaging basslines. Imma snoop around your other tracks!

growling doom and gloom

The dark background synth that carries out from teh begining is really cool cuz it sucks your ears back into the music. It is interesting how we can fool our ears liek that using phasing and filters with level controls-although I dont think you intentionally approached the synth like that, but it is a nice side effect from acheiving the sound you desired. This mofacky is dark like tar pitch, but kinda lacks any direction in the percussive areas.

1st for everything.

Classical cherry poppin' are we?

I don't know much about the genre myself-lol
But I do have an ear for music. Good suspense w/ piano and story tellign through the strings. Yeah, Darkmoor, thats a great title. Wonderfull bass and cello parts. Coulda boosted certain levels in the mix. I like this--worthy of a d/l. And I don't listen to classical ROFL

Filterage

There are some hints of an Aphex twin like style in there-NICE. It was fast paced. Not mixed the best tho-boost the drums turn down the lo-fi-ish high filtered synth-the saw one...golly who can explain fricken synthesizer sounds and all this in words!!! Its why we call it music!@%#

Anyway, it was a cool little track-nice and dark!

Come on down the yellow brick road.....

This track should be longer, with less repetition. Also you never really jumped into a full beat. You just arranged the same parts aorund. Work on some driving melodies to carry out the song. As a guitar player I know you have the ability to create full songs with good melodies. And I know you know what good hardcore beats are like. Keep learning FL...you may like this now....trust me, one day you will look back at this and scoff!

Noice

Good lead synth. Classic bass line sound kinda cheese. This song needs to be longer with some breaks and goodness. Add some more elements! You got the crowd in there, thats cool!

Simple and Calming

With the limited use of textures here you still paint a good picture or pull at the right emotions. The song works as is, but you could also expand on this and make a longer "story" by adding more elements. It is cool how you added cold ambient synthesizers with the warm natural flutes sounds.

This is nice!

Buoy responds:

I didn't add anything after the start, except for the flute it's all done by turning the knobs and modulation wheel.

Thankees ^^

Red Shifting eh?

Did you know that redshifting is an Astronomical/Physics term? It refers to the increase in wavelength of electromagnetic radiation emitted from a source and the increasing distance of a targeted object. With redshifting scientist can map the orbits of distant stars and further yet discover if other planets exist around that star. On a less fortunate side of this all, police use a similar technique with radar guns to track how fast you're speeding, and then they bust your ass! Truthfully though, these two examples have great differences with few similarities as it may appear. In addition to those being totally unconnected, all of what I just said has merely nothing ot do with this song. I think the song looped a few times by now, and to tell you the truth the song doesn't go anywhere....:<

What you have, my friend, is a great intro idea for what could be a really GREAT song. You have created the scene now make the story ala leads and more drum patterns! Might I add the dark synth here is very cool sounding--now give it a purpose!

resheth responds:

Thanks for the review!
Yes, I know that this song is rather bland, but after some time messing around with it, I just could not find the right thing to add to it. I feel that it would do great as a movie theme background sort of music.

Thanks!
